Lucy’s Cookies Blogger Tea
I had the pleasure of hosting a blogger event for Lucy’s Cookies last weekend at my very own local Whole Foods in Pasadena. It was a great Sunday afternoon for bloggers to come and meet Dr. Lucy and hear about her inspiring story of how Lucy’s Cookies all began.
Lucy’s Cookies are delicious all natural, gluten free, vegan cookies that were developed by a Mom who’s son had severe food allergies. Her mission was simple, she wanted her child to be able to eat a cookie. She was also driven by the fact that just because her son had severe food allergies, she didn’t want him to miss out on all the fun childhood social engagements that so often revolve around food and sweet treats. So, Dr. Lucy (an ER Doctor) went to work creating a cookie that was all natural and actually tasted good! Once she started it wasn’t just her son that liked the cookies but her husband and friends with no food allergies also enjoyed eating them.
Lucy’s Cookies are not just for people with food allergies but for anyone who wants to eat a natural and delicious cookie. They come in a variety of flavors and convenient snack size packages that are great for kids lunches! And the new Brownie Cakes are to die for!
Los Angeles Bloggers
Many local Los Angeles bloggers came to the event to taste Lucy’s delicious treats, network and even get their hair done! Amadeuss Salon & Spa turned into a custom braid bar for all the ladies and little girls to get their hair braided, which is super trendy right now. Little June Bugs, my favorite kids shop in Pasadena was also on had to do some Spring crafts with the kids. Whole Foods even extended their weekly happy hour to us upstairs in the Level II Tapas & Wine Bar.
It was great catching up with old friends (Kim, Romy, Candice, Laura, Jill, Alli, Lindsay, Alisa, Kate, Adrienne, Sarah, Kimberly) and meeting new ones (Tisha, Maya, Catalina, Sandra, and Carla) It was a treat meeting some of the lovely ladies from Latina Bloggers Connect who I had never met before!
Thanks to everyone who came – Andrea
