BOB Stroller Revolution-ized

Revolution-Pro-Flex One of the best and most popular all-terrain strollers is the BOB Revolution SE. I don’t know about you, but I see BOB strollers EVERYWHERE in my neighborhood. Families everywhere, rural, urban or suburban, love the flexibility and functionality that the Revolution offers so baby can come outside and enjoy adventures with Mom and Dad. BOB is very good about listening to their customers and take feedback seriously. And that has translated into two new and improved versions of the BOB Revolution SE with the Revolution Flex and the Revolution Pro. Both of them will be available as Duallies – the side-by-side double stroller. The improvements on the Flex and Pro build on an already amazing product. The Revolution SE and these new models have such features as:

  • Front swivel wheel that locks into place for jogging or uneven terrain
  • Can hold a child up to 70 pounds, or 50 pounds each in a Duallie
  • Padded 5-point safety harness to allow for child’s growth
  • Adjustable shock absorbers and state of the art suspension system
  • Quick two-step folding design
  • Padded multi-position reclining seat
  • Foot-activated rear wheel parking brake and safety wrist strap
  • Large storage basket underneath, one large pocket on back of seat and two interior seat pockets
  • Large, adjustable, multi-position sun canopy with peek-a-boo window

BOB Revolution Flex

The Revolution Flex has all the features and benefits of the Revolution, but now has an adjustable height handle that clicks into nine different positions, providing you with the perfect height. This was something that I could never figure out why BOB didn’t offer in the past, seeing how both Mountain Buggy and Phil&Teds both have adjustable handles on their all-terrains. Good job, BOB! That’s really the only difference between the new FLEX and the old Revolution. But the color schemes have changed.  Now you will be able to get black with black frame, Wilderness (green) with black frame, Lagoon (aqua blue) with silver frame and Orange with silver frame. The Revolution Flex single is $479.99 and Duallie is $689.99. They will be available online and in independent and major retailers starting in July.

BOB Revolution Pro

The Revolution Pro takes the Flex a step further by having the 9-position adjustable height handlebar and then adding hand-activated drum brakes. You thought this was only on cars? Nope, strollers now, too, giving more control when tackling hills and inclines. This is the BOB stroller for athletes, for runners who intend to go long and hard, yet want their child to come along and be safe and comfortable. Three color schemes are available on the Pro version: Wilderness (green), Black and Orange – all with silver frames. The single retails for $499.99 and the Duallie is $709.99 and are now available exclusively at REI until June 15, 2014. Then they will be available at select outdoor and bike retailers online and in stores starting in late June.

  1. Thanks for your review. I am interested in the flex or pro. I like the green, but concerned that the black frame on the flex will scratch or get too hot? Do you know or have any experience in the black frame for the bob joggers. Also which color looks better in person: the green or lagoon in your opinion?

    Thanks so much!

  2. Thorough review! The revolution flex is good enough for most parents. It would be perfect if it has a hand brake. Anyway, BOB is best of the best when it comes to jogging stroller.
