Yesterday iVillage announced the 15 new iVoices….
iVillage went looking for 10 fresh faces to share stories and report on what was happening around the country and in our communities.
I threw my hat into the ring at the 11th hour and was then choosen to submit a video audition. My video audition had to be done within a week and it just so happened to be the week I was traveling with my family. So somewhere between San Francisco and Los Angeles we needed to stop and shoot my audition tape. We ended up filming it at our hotel in San Luis Obispo and the ocean turned out to be a pretty nice backdrop! I submitted my video in the 11th hour (again) when we returned home from our trip.
“We had set out to find ten women, but had such an incredible response and so many amazing candidates, we had to expand the group to fifteen. Each of the selected women is incredibly thoughtful and engaging, as well as eager to connect with others and have their voices heard. We’re thrilled to showcase all of the rock stars we found!” – Kelly Wallace
As I was waiting in line at Starbucks I checked my e-mail on my phone and I got the Congratulations! message from Kelly Wallace! I instantly started giggling, forwarded the e-mail to my husband and walked home giggling all the way. (I tend to giggle a lot when I get very excited and nervous all at once)
The stories I hope to share are ones of powerful, smart and dynamic women. I would like to interview women who are living everyday to its fullest, taking risks, and chasing their dreams. Women who inspire creativity. Women who are making a difference at home, within their own communities or internationally. Women who are fighting for a cause or fighting for the future of our children. I also hope to bring you some fun and creative stories about 3 of my favorite things Travel, Fashion and Fitness.
Stephanie Dulli, Washington, DC – Stephanie admits to be obsessed with coffee and Twitter in equal measure. Her blog, (www.dialmforminky.com), focuses on motherhood and self-image.
