Angela | MANAGING EDITOR & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Angela Amman spends part of every day trying to convince her husband to buy into her color-coded calendar system to make sure their 8 and 6 year olds are where they’re supposed to be at the right time. She is a freelance writer and editor who collects her family’s stories at Playing with Words and whose personal essays and short stories have appeared in her collection, Nothing Goes Away, and various anthologies. Searching for the perfect mascara and comfortable heels drives her a little bit crazy, while running, 80s music, reading and her kids keep her sane. As the co-director of Listen To Your Mother Metro Detroit, Angela is thrilled to bring others’ stories to the stage and to celebrate the magic of storytelling. She is a managing editor at Bannering Books, a small publishing imprint, and when she should be sleeping she works on her latest short story collection.
CARRIE BETH & JEN | FOOD & CRAFT DUO
Carrie Beth and Jen are both 30-something mothers and wives who are also best friends. They love all things preppy, Southern, and just plain pretty. Between the two of them, they have five precious little ones, and constantly have a text conversation going on about the day-to-day of their lives and the crazy adventure that is motherhood. They write and share stories or ideas from their everyday lives on The Magnolia Mamas — whether it’s trying to keep up with current fashion trends, finally getting around to that DIY project, or attempting to cook a dinner everyone in their homes will eat — it always keeps them laughing and it’s always real life.

Originally from the vibrant (if snowy) city of Toronto, Ali Maldoff is now based in sunny Los Angeles where she has admittedly fallen face-first into the wonderful west coast world of clean eating and anti-aging (well, mostly). Ali is a freelance writer, social media manager, aspiring screenwriter and children’s author, and strongly believes she coined the term ‘Interneteer’. She totally did. When she manages to unplug, Ali enjoys cooking, hiking, cuddling with her hubby and two-year-old daughter, organizing her closet and reading actual magazines.
